Executive Vice President of Accounting/Partner
As HMC’s Executive Vice President of Accounting , Daniel leads the financial management functions of HMC’s hotel portfolio. He directly oversees all facets of accounting, the production of a comprehensive monthly financial reporting package, financial planning and analysis, preparation of monthly and quarterly forecast of projected future operating results, and cash management. His professional responsibilities also include the procurement of all banking and credit card processing relationships, financial tax reporting, conducting internal audit processes, property tax valuation services, licenses, permits, equipment leases and maintenance contracts, for all managed and newly acquired properties.
Further, he supports the new business development team with assisting with due diligence on prospective new acquisitions. This includes compiling information for future financial projections, evaluating and analyzing historical financial performance, and reviewing cost saving opportunities for maximizing the profitability for all potential new assets.
Daniel has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, serving in a diverse range of positions from service related positions to top management level. Prior to joining HMC, Daniel spent nine years with Dallas-based Metro Hotels as the Corporate Director of Accounting and Internal Auditor.
Daniel attended the University of North Texas and earned a degree in Accounting.
