Our Experience

Based in Dallas since our inception in 1971, HMC is an established management company with long-term full service experience. We have successfully operated full and limited service, franchised, and independent hotels throughout the nation for over 40 years and have significant experience with hotel development, repositioning and renovation projects of virtually all sizes.

How We Work

At HMC you’ll be dealing with the principals of the company, one-on-one on a regular basis. HMC’s owners personally oversee your asset(s), not just hourly staff members. We meet in person with ownership to discuss expectations, goals, projected results, etc.  We are full service, but not so large as to be inflexible or overly bureaucratic.

HMC has been awarded honors of distinction from a large number of franchises we work with. Throughout our history, we have been acknowledged by major corporations including Radisson, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, DoubleTree, Best Western, etc. in addition to major trade and hospitality publications for outstanding attention to our properties and our customers.  This relationship with the major franchises also allows us to assist our owners during franchise contract and PIP negotiations, and we have been able to negotiate and obtain concessions for owners that they would otherwise be unable to achieve on their own.

Yield Management Programs

HMC’s yield management programs ensure that each property is maximizing its full potential for revenue generation. Far too many of our competitors fail in this area and leave valuable dollars on the table. By managing the hotel’s demand, every opportunity is taken to maximize revenues.

Ongoing Sales Training

HMC sponsors three phases of sales training each year. Unlike many companies, we also make it a priority that our general managers attend sales training as well. Additionally, we have programs in place for front office up-selling and closure of reservations including Transient Edge and GIRT training. At HMC, we believe everyone is a sales asset for your property.

Sales Accountability

Our trained sales staffs are held accountable for their own goals, production levels, and ultimately successful revenue outcomes. We have extensive programs to measure results on an individual basis, daily, weekly and monthly. At HMC, we believe accountability equals a positive end result not only for you, but for all our team members.

Risk Reduction

HMC has the ability to place your asset under our master insurance program which will provide extensive coverage at an extremely competitive price.  This is a unique opportunity as often this type of partnership is unavailable to small asset owners. HMC also has a full risk management program to limit the owner’s liability related to the physical plant, guests, and staff.
